Every idea begins with a story — and mine began with a longing for home.
Growing up surrounded by the rich textures and timeless beauty of Turkish textiles, I always felt a deep connection to the artisans who wove culture into every thread.

In Istanbul, where I am from, I always loved shopping from small, family-run businesses — people who knew us and our families, who would smile the moment we walked in. They helped us choose bedspreads when we bought new furniture, or prepared our dowries when we were getting engaged. Shopping was never just a transaction; it was a shared experience — full of warmth, trust, and human connection.

When I moved to Dubai, I was inspired by its creative energy and diverse community, but I also found myself missing that sense of personal connection — the stories and faces behind the products. That’s when the idea of Pamukme was born: to bring a touch of that heartfelt craftsmanship and small-business spirit here, in a way that complements Dubai’s modern lifestyle.

Pamukme began with a few handwoven towels and a dream to share the artistry of Turkish makers with the world. Today, it has grown into a collection of timeless textiles that embody slow living, natural materials, and the beauty of things made by hand.

As a woman-led small business, building Pamukme has been both a challenge and a joy. From visiting family-run workshops in Türkiye to curating collections in Dubai’s creative markets, every step reminds me why I started — to keep these artisanal traditions alive, empower the makers, and offer something meaningful in every home.

When you choose Pamukme, you’re not just buying a product — you’re becoming part of this story. A story woven with love, heritage, and a belief that handmade things still have the power to connect us.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
